Street theatre festival ends in Barisal

Street theatre festival "Jatiyo Patho Natya Utsab" ended at the open stage in front of Ashwini Kumar Hall in Barisal City on Friday night.

The festival was organised by Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation, Barisal divisional unit. Four theatre troupes of Barisal participated in the festival. Syed Dulal, presidium member BGTF, inaugurated the festival on Friday.

Basudeb Ghosh, divisional organising secretary of BGTF; Kajol Ghosh of Barisal Natak; Advocate SM Iqbal, president Barisal Sangskritik Sanagathan Samannya Parisahad; Shuvongkar Chakrabarty, president Barisal theatre; and Md. Sahajahan, president of Sammilito Sangskritik Sanghatan Samonoy Parishad, Barguna addressed the inaugural session among others.

Kheali Group Theatre, Brojomohon Theatre, Barisal Natak and Natyam staged their popular plays "Kobor O Krishnuchura", "Ekjon Chowdhury Onyojon Khan", "Jago" and "Chor" respectively at the festival.
