Bullet hit body recovered in Laxmipur

Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a young man from a ditch in Laxmipur Sadar upazila last night.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, said Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Chandraganj Police Station.

The body, spotted behind Boralia Primary School polling centre, was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the OC.

Meanwhile, locals said a gunfight between two groups took place in the area around 10:30pm.
