A Bangladeshi youth has been shot dead by miscreants in Jamaica of New York.

A Bangladeshi youth has been shot dead by miscreants in Jamaica of New York.

The deceased was identified as Md Shahed Uddin, 27, Sohel Mahmud, a social activist in New York, told The Daily Star. 

Two other youths, including another Bangladeshi, got hurt during the incident.

The incident took place in front of a night club in Richmond Hill area Monday around 4:30am local time. 

Shahed Uddin was a son of Babar Uddin, president of Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal US unit.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today expressed his sorrow and condolences over Shahed's death, BNP sources said.
