Bangladesh economy grows 3.35% in Q4
Bangladesh's economy grew by 3.35 percent in the fourth quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year, according to provisional estimates released today by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
The growth marks an improvement from the 2.14 percent recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, reflecting a modest recovery in overall economic activity.
The industrial sector registered the highest growth, expanding by 4.10 percent in the quarter, up sharply from 1.08 percent in the corresponding period a year earlier.
In contrast, the agriculture sector slowed to 3.01 percent, down from 4.11 percent in the same period of FY24.
The services sector also weakened slightly, posting 2.96 percent growth, compared with 3.61 percent of the same period a year ago.
