AUST students win Champion's title at UAP Design Charrette

This year’s theme was "The Listening Space – A Third Place for Reflection and Dialogue in Dhaka,"

Students from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) have secured the prestigious Champion's Title at the Open Day - UAP Design Charrette, a competitive design challenge hosted by the University of Asia Pacific (UAP).

The event provided a platform for students to showcase their innovation, creativity, and problem-solving abilities in architecture and design.

The AUST team was comprised of Farhan Muhibur Rahman, Farhan Ishrak Nibir, Ariful Islam Kha, Alif Islam Tushan, and Sahaf Kabir from the Department of Architecture.

The Design Charrette was open to students of all levels and required participants to solve an on-the-spot architectural challenge. A total of 23 teams, each with five members, from nine schools across Bangladesh participated in the event.

This year's theme, "The Listening Space – A Third Place for Reflection and Dialogue in Dhaka," challenged participants to conceptualize a public space where people can share and listen to stories, as well as experience moments of silence.

Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Vice-Chancellor of AUST, praised the students for their achievement. "This victory highlights the creativity, technical skills, and dedication of our students. Their success is a testament to the high-quality education and training we provide at AUST. I congratulate the winning team and encourage all students to continue striving for excellence," he said.
