Mostafa Quamrus Sobhan new chairman of Rupali Insurance

The Board of Directors of Rupali Insurance Company Limited has elected Mostafa Quamrus Sobhan as the new Chairman of the company at its 212th Board Meeting, following the passing of former chairman Mostafa Golam Quddus.

The announcement was made in a statement by Md. Zahirul Islam, Additional Managing Director of the insurance company.

As a renowned industrialist and entrepreneur, he brings extensive experience across multiple sectors, including insurance, education, and the ready-made garments & textile industry. He also serves as the Managing Director of Dragon Group.

In addition to his corporate achievements, Mostafa Quamrus Sobhan was appointed as the first Honorary Consul of Uruguay in Bangladesh in 2023, actively working to enhance bilateral trade and diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Upon his election, he expressed gratitude to the Board for their trust and pledged to uphold the legacy of Mostafa Golam Quddus, while driving growth and innovation in the insurance sector.
