National Agricultural Olympiad to launch Season 2 in Dhaka Division

The second edition of the National Agricultural Olympiad is set to launch in the Dhaka Division, with a vision to inspire the younger generation to embrace modern agricultural technologies and contribute to the nation's progress.
Founded by agriculturalist Zillur Rahman, the Agricultural Olympiad aims to foster intellectual growth among youth while promoting advancements in nutrition, safe food practices, and sustainable farming.
Registration for the Olympiad will begin on January 7, 2025, and continue until February 28, 2025, encompassing 13 districts in the Dhaka Division.
Participants can register online through the official website, while offline campaigns in 1,500 schools and colleges across the region will encourage widespread participation.
The competition is open to students from grades 6 to 12, categorised into junior, secondary, and higher secondary groups. Winners will be awarded attractive prizes, including laptops, e-notebooks, smartphones, educational tours, and certificates, with recognition for champions, runners-up, and the top ten participants in each category.
Zillur Rahman said, "The agriculture sector of the future will be sustainable and based on technologies like IoT, data analytics, artificial intelligence, robotics, and nanotechnology."
"The event aims to deeply engage the youth with these new technology trends at the national level," he added.
