NRB Conclave 2024 on Dec 29 to focus on transforming Bangladesh through knowledge remittance

The NRB Conclave 2024, organised by the Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be held on December 29 at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka. 

With the theme "Transforming Bangladesh Through Knowledge Remittance," the event aims to engage Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) as key contributors to the nation's development.

The conclave will also pave ways to establish a structured framework for utilising the intellectual and professional expertise of over 10 million NRBs worldwide. It will focus on driving investment, fostering innovation, and leveraging knowledge to address critical challenges in sectors such as nation-building, technology, and skill development.

The program will feature keynote speeches from notable figures, including Lutfey Siddiqi, Special Envoy on International Affairs, who will discuss "The New Bangladesh Narrative," and Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of BIDA and BEZA, addressing "The Future of Bangladesh's Economy and NRB Engagement." The event will also include panel discussions on topics such as skill development, investment in emerging sectors, inclusive technology growth, and public-private collaboration for nation branding.

A key highlight will be the launch of the Future City Competition USA, an initiative designed to promote urban innovation through NRB engagement.

The panel discussions will explore the four tracks of NRB Conclave - Investment, Knowledge &  Skill, Nation Building, Tech & Innovation. The panels will drive and plan the future course of Bangladesh through the engagement of NRBs. In addition to that the panels will focus on pressing topics like Reshaping Skill Development in Bangladesh Through NRB Engagement, How NRBs Can Catalyze Investment in Emerging Sectors of Bangladesh, Leveraging NRBs for Inclusive Tech Growth, and Aligning Public and Private Efforts for Bangladesh's Nation Brand. These discussions will bring together White Collar NRBs, industry leaders, policymakers, and thought leaders to examine opportunities for integrating NRBs into the country's growth trajectory.

The conclave brings together policymakers, industry leaders, and NRBs to foster actionable plans and collaborations. Registration is open for attendees on a first-come, first-served basis through the event's official website.
