Praava Health names new CEO as founder moves to board chair

With Emon at the helm and Sinha remaining actively engaged as board chair, Praava Health looks to build on its success and further advance healthcare delivery in Bangladesh and beyond.

Praava Health, a leading healthcare provider in Bangladesh, announced a leadership transition, appointing Mohammad Abdul Matin Emon as chief executive officer. He will succeed founder and CEO Sylvana Quader Sinha, who will assume the role of chair of the board.

Emon, currently Praava Health's chief operating officer, will take over as CEO on April 16. Since joining the company in 2022, he has served as chief strategy and product officer as well as COO, playing a key role in driving growth and fostering a patient-centric culture.

Sinha, who founded Praava Health, built the company from a startup into one of Bangladesh's fastest-growing healthcare brands, known for its focus on quality care.

"Leading Praava Health has been the honor of a lifetime, and my decision to transition comes with trust in the strength of our team, the clarity of our vision, and the continued momentum of our work," Sinha said. "I set out to transform healthcare delivery in Bangladesh and kick off an era of trusted care. I have known Emon as a colleague and trusted advisor for a decade. He has brought Praava a fresh perspective while holding us accountable to our vision and values. I look forward to partnering with Emon alongside the Board as we continue to set new benchmarks in patient care."

Emon brings nearly three decades of experience in healthcare and technology across regional and local markets. He has held leadership positions at global firms such as BOC and The Linde Group and served as CEO at technology and digital health companies. His expertise in sales, customer service, strategy, and operations positions him to lead Praava Health into its next phase of expansion and innovation.

"I am honored to take on the role of CEO at Praava Health and lead this incredible organization into its next chapter of growth and innovation," Emon said. "Praava has set new standards in patient-centered healthcare, and my vision is to further strengthen its position as a pioneer and leader. Together with our dedicated team, we will continue to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and quality, ensuring that Praava remains synonymous with world-class healthcare that every patient can trust."
