5 ‘kidnappers’ held from Mohakhali, 1 rescued

Law enforcers today claimed to have detained five kidnappers from Dhaka's Mohakhali area. One victim is said to have been rescued from their grasp.

They were held with two foreign pistols, two magazines and six bullets, said a text note floated from Rapid Action Battalion headquarters to the media.

Further details will be made public in a press conference later in the day.
