Body of missing boy recovered in Dhaka

The body of an eight-year-old boy has been recovered from an under-construction building in Dhaka’s Khilgaon area hours after he went missing, police say.

The body of an eight-year-old boy was recovered from an under-construction building in Dhaka’s Khilgaon area this afternoon, hours after he went missing, police said. 

On information, police recovered the body of Minad around 1:30pm, Officer-In-Charge of Khilgaon Police Station Moshiure Rahman told The Daily Star. 

He went missing around 10:00pm last night, the OC said quoting the victim’s family. 

Injury marks were found on the throat of the victim, he said, adding that police primarily suspected that the boy has been murdered.  

The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
