Couple found dead in Kamrangirchar

Police recovered the bodies of a young couple in Kamrangirchar area of Dhaka city this afternoon.

Jewel, 20, and Rikta, 16, were found dead inside a tin-shed house around 5:00pm, Officer-In-Charge (Investigation) of Kamrangirchar Police Station Babu Kumar Saha told The Daily Star.

Jewel, who worked as a videographer, was found hanging from the ceiling while the body of Rikta was lying on the bed, he said.

“Black marks were found around her neck,” the OC said.

“Whether it was a murder or suicide incident will be ascertained after proper investigation,” he said.

The bodies were sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College for autopsy, he added.
