Daffodil International University introduces a scholarship scheme on Talha, their student who was murdered by muggers.

Daffodil International University today introduced a scholarship scheme on Talha, their student who was murdered by muggers last Sunday.

At a programme held at its campus auditorium in Dhanmondi, the university authorities also handed over a cheque of Tk 5 lakh to Talha’s father.

The students formed a human chain in front of the main campus on Mirpur Road around 11:30 am protesting the killing. They urged to immediate arrest of the killers and ensuring justice.

“Talha was a cheerful and confident boy. He never waited around to help people,” Talha’s father Khandaker Nuruddin said, speaking at the programme.

Khandakar Abu Talha, 19, a second-year student of the university, fell prey to muggers near his home in the capital's Tikatuli on Sunday morning and lost his life having been stabbed by them.
