Eminent neurosurgeon Rashiduddin critically ill

Bangladesh’s pioneer of neurosurgeon Prof Rashiduddin Ahmad has been admitted to a hospital in Dhaka in critical condition.

Bangladesh's pioneer neurosurgeon Prof Rashiduddin Ahmad has been admitted to a hospital in Dhaka in critical condition.

Prof Rashiduddin, 79, suffered a massive haemorrhagic stroke on February 9, his daughter Rashida Ahmad told The Daily Star.

Later, he was admitted to the neuro intensive care unit of Metropolitan Medical Centre in Dhaka.

His doctors said he was in a very critical state, and receiving maximum ICU support.
