Teenager drowns in Jatrabari while swimming

A tenth grader drowned while swimming with friends at Jatrabari, Dhaka this evening.

The victim was identified as Jonny, 18, a student of City Corporation Ideal High School.

Jonny was swimming with friends at Dhalpur South City Corporation staff quarter pond around 7:00pm when he drowned, Bachchu Mia, the sub-inspector in-charge at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp, told The Daily Star.

His brother Md Rony told The Daily Star that Jonny was a student of class 10 at City Corporation Ideal High School.
