Youth kills cousin, stabs 2 others in Uttarkhan

A teenager was killed and two of his older brothers were injured after their cousin stabbed them at their house in Uttarkhan area of the capital last night.

The deceased is Riad Hossain, 15, while the injured are Riad’s brothers Shamim Hossain, 25, and Rizwan Hossain, 18, Inspector Bacchu Miah, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police outpost told The Daily Star. They are all sons of Raju Miah.

The incident occurred in Taltolta area of Uttarkhan around 10:00pm yesterday when Swapan stabbed his three cousins following a conflict with Swapan.

Riad, 15, was admitted to Intensive Care Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition where he succumbed at 11:00am, sources at DMCH’s ICU told The Daily Star.

Swapan is son of Joj Miah, who shares the same building with Raju Miah.
