2 killed in Mymensingh road crash

Two people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Kazirshimla in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh on Tuesday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

Zakir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Trishal Police Station, said the accident took place around 10:00am when a pick-up van hit the duo while they were crossing the road, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to local hospital morgue.

Outraged by the accident, locals put barricade on the highway, disrupting traffic for an hour.
