4 shot, 10 injured in Habiganj over land dispute

At least four people were shot and 10 others injured during a clash over land dispute in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj this afternoon.

The clash ensued around 1:00pm between Rampur Tea Garden authority and locals of Sudratiki village over the ownership of some land leased by the tea garden, Mashuk Ali, officer-in-charge of Bahubal Police Station, told our local correspondent.

Later, police stepped in and fired rubber bullets to disperse the people, leaving four with bullet wounds, he added.
