Dhaka-Mymensingh rail link restored

Rail communication from Dhaka to Mymensingh resumed this morning, about six hours after a train derailed in Gazipur’s Sreepur upazila.

Sreepur Railway Station’s Master Shahjahan Mia told our local correspondent that railway engineers restored the link around 10:45 am.

Earlier around 5:30 am, one carriage of Jamuna Express, bound for Dhaka, derailed near Gafargaon Railway Station.

Four trains were delayed at different railway stations after the derailment.
