Ex-Ctg mayor Mohiuddin hospitalised

Former Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury has been admitted to Square Hospital in Dhaka as he fell sick.

Former Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury was admitted to Square Hospital in Dhaka as he fell sick today.

He was flown to the capital by an air ambulance from Chittagong city’s Max Hospital this afternoon, our local staff correspondent reports quoting his personal assistant Raihan Yousuf.

Seventy-four-year-old Mohiuddin was hospitalised at the city’s private hospital when he was feeling uncomfortable early today. He has been suffering from kidney and heart diseases for long, said Liyakot Ali, director of Max Hospital.

Mohiuddin, also the president of Chittagong city unit of Awami League, first underwent treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital and later shifted to Dhaka for better treatment.
