A Faridpur court today granted bail to the bus driver whose reckless driving caused death to 25 passengers in Faridpur early Friday.
Judicial magistrate Faisal Al Mamun of the Cognizance Court-2 passed the order around 12:30pm, according to our Faridpur correspondent.
Zakir Hussain, the driver, was arrested yesterday after the Barisal-bound bus of Sonartari Paribahan from Dhaka veered off the road killing 25 people and injuring 23.
The vehicle skidded of the road and plunged into a ditch after hitting a tree in Kaidubi area as the driver lost control over the steering while trying to overtake another vehicle while speeding, killing 20 people on the spot.
