Flight operations at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong resumed three hours after it was suspended as an aircraft of Bangladesh Navy skidded off the runway while landing there.

“A naval aircraft skidded off the runway at 5:47pm, snapping the flight operations till 9:00pm,” Wing Commander Riazul Kabir, manager of the Chittagong airport, told our local staff correspondent.

“It was a minor incident,” the official however said.

“No one was hurt in the incident,” Rezaul Karim, assistant director of Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), told The Daily Star.
