Hailstorm damages crops in Brahmanbaria, Habiganj

Hailstorm and heavy rains damaged crops in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria and adjacent Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj this afternoon.

The affected villages include Satbarga, Islampur, Shoshoi, Budhanti village in Bijoynagar upazila and Teliapara, Uttar Surma, Bangaon, Shahjahanpur village in Madhabpur upazila, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent.

Farmers said the hailstorm damaged the fields of beans, eggplants and cucumbers.

The extent of the loss caused by the storm could not be ascertained immediately.
