Mayor aspirant dies after drinking alcohol

The deceased, Babul Hossain, was a vice-president of Arani upazila unit of AL, our Rajshahi correspondent reports quoting Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal, an attending doctor of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Babul was taken to Hagha Upazila Health Complex following severe chest pain due to alcohol consumption last night, Kamal said quoting the deceased's family members.

As his condition deteriorated, he was later shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he breathed his last at the Intensive Care Unit around 3:00pm, the doctor said.
