MP’s son held with pistol, bullets in Satkhira

Police arrested a son of local lawmaker Rifat Amin along with a pistol and bullets from a resort in the Sundarbans in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira last night.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid on the resort and arrested Safayet Sarwar Rumon along with a pistol and 43 rounds of bullets around 10:00pm, said Enamul Haq, officer-in-charge of Shyamnagar Police Station.

Police also arrested three women from the resort.
