Second-grader ‘raped’ in Satkhira

A second-grader girl was allegedly raped in Tala upazila of Satkhira early today.

Alim Morol, a neighbour of the victim, reportedly picked the girl to a nearby area from her house and violated her, said Md Hasan Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tala Police Station.

Later, locals rescued her after hearing her scream and took her to the upazila health complex. She was later shifted Satkhira General Hospital as her condition deteriorated, reports our Satkhira correspondent.

Police arrested Alim Morol after a case was filed against him with Tala Police Station, the OC said.
