Midway through the winter, today’s untimely rain may result in temperature drop by 1 to 3 degree centigrade, the Met office has said.

The fall in temperature would continue for at least three days, an official at the Met office told The Daily Star over telephone.

Rain soaked the capital in the afternoon, however light drizzles were recorded in Ishwardi, Bogra, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Rajshahi since early morning.

Rajshahi experienced 25 mm rainfall which started around 6:00am and continued till 12:00 noon today, the official added.

The dark clouds are expected to disappear by tomorrow, the met official informed.
