Train service of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet resumes

Train communication of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet was restored after 10 hours of suspension following derailment of four bogies of a freight train in Banasua in Sadar upazila of Comilla.

Train communication of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet was restored after 10 hours of suspension following derailment of four bogies of a freight train in Banasua in Sadar upazila of Comilla district today. 

Station Master of Comilla Railway Station Shafiul Islam confirmed this, saying the train communications were restored around 8:45pm.

Earlier, a Dinajpur-bound freight train from Chittagong veered off the track at the area around 10:30am, halting train movement on the Chittagong-Dhaka and Chittagong-Sylhet routes.

However, no causality was reported.
