Govt mulls separate force to combat terrorism: Kamal

State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said the government was planning to form a separate force to combat terrorism.

"A counter-terrorism battalion will be formed soon. There are counter terrorism forces in different countries in the world. We are planning to do so," he said while replying to a supplementary question from Whip Shahiduzzaman Sarker in the parliament.

Replying to another question from Awami League lawmaker Tarana Halim that what steps the home ministry took to arrest those culprits involved in a conspiracy to assassinate Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman said steps have been taken to arrest them.
