Fakhrul, Moudud at hospital to visit Quader

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has reached the hospital where ailing Awami League leader Obaidul Quader is being treated.

Fakhrul along with his party’s senior leaders Moudud Ahmed and Abdul Moeen Khan visited the hospital around 9:50pm, our staff photojournalist reports.

Quader, also the road transport minister, is at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University is in a critical condition, attending treatment at the coronary care unit.

Earlier this morning, Quader was hospitalised following breathing problems post-Fazr hours. He was diagnosed with three blocks in the heart.

While undergoing treatment at the hospital, Quader underwent a heart attack.

Now, doctors say he will be under observation for 24-72 hours. After the observation period, the doctors can ascertain his condition.

According to them, Quader was suffering from uncontrolled diabetes and blood pressure. Also, the road transport minister has electrolyte imbalance.
