PM changes cabinet meeting venue for SSC examinees

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has changed the venue of tomorrow’s Cabinet meeting for the convenience of the SSC and equivalent examinees.
"The prime minister has taken the decision to facilitate the movement of the examinees to their respective examination centres," said PM's Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokan today.
He said the Cabinet meeting will be held at PM's Office at Tejgaon instead of Bangladesh Secretariat where it is usually held.
Khokan also mentioned that the prime minister will go to her office from her official residence Gono Bhaban to attend the meeting at 10:30am, when all the examinees will enter their examination centres.
This year some 16,51,523 examinees, including 2,48,865 from madrasahs and 98,384 from vocational institutions, will take part in the SSC and equivalent examinations from 28,119 institutions at 3143 centres .
Of them, 8,42,933 are male students and 8,04,990 are female ones.
The written examinations will end on March 8 while the practical ones will be held from March 9 to March 14.
