Launch service resumes across the country after 24hrs

Launch operations have resumed across the country this morning after 24 hours of suspension due to cyclone Sitrang. 

The launch operation started at 9:45am today (October 25, 2022), Mobarak Hossain Majumder, public relations officer of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), told The Daily Star.

Earlier, launch operations were suspended across the country around 10am yesterday (October 24, 2022) to deal with the impact of cyclone Sitrang.
