Bangladesh are through to the semifinals of the SAFF U-15 Championship, courtesy of Bhutan’s 5-0 win against Sri Lanka today.

A draw in the Bhutan-Sri Lanka match would have been enough to see Bangladesh through, but the Himalayan kingdom thrashed the islanders 5-0 to settle the two qualifying spots from the group.

Bangladesh had won their first group match against Sri Lanka 4-0, thanks to Faisal Ahmed Fahim’s hattrick.

The boys in red and green will take on Bhutan on Tuesday to decide the which team goes through as group champions and which team goes through as runners-up.
