Sunnydale, Viqarunnisa win School Handball titles

Sunnydale and Viqarunnisa Noon School & College emerged as the champions in their respective divisions of the Polar Ice-cream 28th School Handball Tournament at the M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Tuesday.

Sunnydale and Viqarunnisa Noon School & College emerged as the champions in their respective divisions of the Polar Ice-cream 28th School Handball Tournament at the M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Tuesday. 

In the boy's division, Sunnydale recorded a 26-19 win over defending champions St. Gregory's High School & College in the final. Sunnydale dominated proceedings in the first half at a 13-7 advantage. 

Ahiyan scored 11 goals to help Sunnydale win their fourth title, while Siyam netted 12 goals for St. Gregory's High School & College.

Viqarunnisa clinched a hard-fought contest 13-11 against Sunnydale in the girl's final. The winners led the first half 7-5. 
Sumaiya scored eight goals for the champions, while Samaha struck four goals for Sunnydale, who had to be satisfied with a second-place finish for the third successive time, while it was Viqarunnisa's 20th title, this one being their seventh on the trot.
