Tribunal concludes hearing after final arguments from both sides

Nahid Islam, convener of the National Citizen Party (NCP), yesterday expressed hope that the ongoing trials for crimes against humanity committed during last year’s July uprising will not be disrupted after the upcoming national election.

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, along with 72 others, has been sued for conspiring to overthrow the interim government through a civil war.

A case was filed against former president Abdul Hamid, former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and 122 others for their alleged involvement in an attack on anti-discrimination students during the recent mass uprising in Kishoreganj.

Probe reports for both the cases were scheduled for completion today
