Chorki is set to release its new original web film “Little Miss Chaos” on October 9. Directed by Mahmuda Sultana Rima, the romantic dramedy will premiere at 12:01am on the streaming platform.

Director Piplu R Khan’s pandemic-era drama “Jaya Aar Sharmin” will premiere on Chorki at 12:01 am on September 25. Starring Jaya Ahsan and Mohsina Akter, the film captures the quiet intensity of two women—an actress and her house help—confined within a single home during the Covid-19 lockdown. Their fragile bond grows in silence and eventually strains under the weight of isolation and shifting relationships.

Vicky Zahed returns with a new mystery as his flash fiction “Ondho Balok” readies for release on Chorki at 12:01 am on September 18. Written by Nazim Ud Daula, the story blends love, fate, and the tension between belief and doubt, promising a fresh take on the director’s signature suspense.

The rom-com project stars FS Nayeem and Sunerah Binte Kamal in the lead roles. Written by Raba Khan and produced by Alpha-i, the film will be released on September 11 on Chorki.

2025 continues to be a busy year for Jaya Ahsan, with multiple releases across Bangladesh and West Bengal. Following the theatrical release of “Putulnacher Itikatha” in August, fans who missed “Jaya Aar Sharmin” in cinemas will soon get another chance to watch it on OTT.

Following a successful theatrical run during Eid-ul-Azha, two blockbuster Bangladeshi films—“Taandob” and “Utshob”—are now set to stream online, offering an opportunity for those who missed the cinema screenings.

Raihan Rafi’s “Taandob” broke major records upon its theatrical release during Eid-ul-Azha. The star-studded film, featuring Shakib Khan, Jaya Ahsan, Sabila Nur, and Afzal Hossain, was widely loved by audiences.

Sufia Easel’s moody watercolour art explores anxiety, memory, and solitude. Shifting from graphic design to painting full-time, she now sells merchandise to reach wider audiences while preserving her deeply personal, emotionally rich artistic style.

Chorki, known for championing diverse storytelling, developed this platform to give short films broader exposure beyond festivals and niche audiences. As Chorki CEO Redoan Rony put it, “Young filmmakers usually end up screening their short films only at festivals or for a specific crowd. After that, these films almost disappear from public view. We wanted to change that.”

Alongside “Amalnama”, Zahid will also appear in “Utshob”, a film directed by Tanim Noor, set for release this Eid-ul-Azha. Reflecting on his choices, he added, “I don’t take on projects unless I truly like them. After my break, I’ve worked on two projects and enjoyed both. The audience will see me in different roles in these films.”

While the teaser keeps much of the storyline under wraps, Hasan's appearance has led many to speculate that he might be portraying a police officer.

This line perfectly defines what “Ghumpori” is all about—a tale of endless love that will make you cry and smile, yet still leave you longing for the kind of love Megh (Pritom Hasan) has for Jyoti (Tanjin Tisha). It's a love story that defies logic and makes you question how one can fall in love with someone they've never met and dedicate their entire life to fulfilling their dreams.

In observance of International Mother Language Day, the two companies have made cinema accessible to the visually impaired through audio description. The selected film for this initiative is the Chorki original “Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya”, a project under the “Ministry of Love” series.

Today (January 6), Chorki’s verified Facebook page released the trailer for “Besura”, the final episode of “Dui Shaw”, revealing its cast. The episode features popular actress Sumaiya Shimu and singer Ismail Uddin Palakar. Sumaiya Shimu has confirmed that “Besura” marks her debut on the OTT platform, while Ismail Uddin Palakar ventures into acting for the first time.
