A garment worker was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Ashulia's Jamgora area early yesterday.

At least 61 alleged 'muggers' and 'Agyan (dope) Party' members were arrested from different parts of Dhaka in the last 24hours.

Muggers in a car pulled the handbag of a woman, dragged her about 200 yards on a street and drove the vehicle over her in Dhanmondi area of the capital yesterday morning.
