61 muggers, Agyan Party members held in Dhaka

At least 61 alleged 'muggers' and 'Agyan (dope) Party' members were arrested from different parts of Dhaka in the last 24hours till this morning.

The miscreants were arrested in a special drive conducted by Dhaka Metropolitan Police for ensuring security to the city dwellers ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr, said DMP Deputy Commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman.

On primary interrogation, they confessed to their crimes, the DMP official told The Daily Star.
