Daily Jugantor emerged as champions in the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament after defeating ATN Bangla 2-0 in the final at the Paltan Outer Stadium in Dhaka today.

Nabid Yeasin scored a hattrick as The Daily Star moved into the Last 16 of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament with a 3-1 win against Dhaka Post in their first match at the Paltan Outer Stadium on Tuesday.

The tournament has been held for the last 25 years.

Despite a spirited showing in the second half, The Daily Star bowed out from the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Round of 16 following a 2-1 defeat in an ill-tempered clash against The Business Standard at the BFF Artificial Turf today.

The Daily Star began the Kool-BSJA Media Cup with a convincing 3-1 win against former champions Channel 24 in a round of 32 fixture at the BFF Artificial Turf in Motijheel today.

As many as 32 media houses from print, electronic and online, split into eight groups, will be taking part in the six-a-side knockout tournament, and will start competing in knockout fixtures at the artificial turf adjacent to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in Motijheel.
