Comilla Victorians head coach Mohammad Salahuddin had been seen working with Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan at Sylhet during the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Shakib has so far batted just twice at the BPL and did not come out to bat in two games due to eye problem.

Babar Azam struck 62 off 46 deliveries to anchor the innings while Azmatullah Omarzai's cameo 32 off 15 helped Rangpur to 183 for 8.After the match a team source said that it wasn't required he bats in this game and that was why Shakib did not come to bat. 

“He [Shakib] is making up the hours in training and trying to get into rhythm,’ the franchise’s batting coach Shahriar Nafees said today.

Khulna Tigers maintained their hundred percent record while Rangpur Riders slumped to their second defeat in three matches as the Bangladesh Premier League caravan moved to Sylhet.

Shakib went to Singapore for eye check-up after playing Rangpur’s tournament opener against Fortune Barishal in Mirpur. 

“Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has been diagnosed with a retinal condition in his left eye. This revelation comes after the player reported visual function concerns,” BCB stated in a press release today.
