BIJF holds annual general meeting

Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF), the registered organization of professional ICT journalists, held its annual general meeting (AGM) on May 25, 2024.

BIJF President Nazneen Nahar chaired the AGM, while Vice President Bhuiyan Mohammad Inam Lenin delivered a welcome speech at the Vision Tower conference room in the capital's Karwan Bazaar.

During the meeting, BIJF General Secretary Sabbin Hasan presented the annual activities report of the organization.

Treasurer Saiful Islam presented the financial report for the fiscal year from April 2022 to June 2023. After a discussion on the financial report, the audited financial report was passed unanimously.

The meeting also unanimously passed a bill to constitute a 'Welfare Fund,' a proposal from the Executive Committee, with members agreeing to pay the annual fee at a double rate.

Organizing Secretary Ariful Islam Arman presented the draft to update the constitution. After a detailed discussion, it was decided to prepare another revised draft based on members' opinions.

The president, general secretary, and treasurer participated in a question-and-answer session. Members openly expressed their opinions on changes and modifications to the constitution and discussed various agendas related to the organization's interests.
