Bitcoin reached a new all-time high on Sunday, surpassing $125,000 for the first time.

Bitcoin reached a new all-time high on Sunday, surpassing $125,000 for the first time.

As per a report by Reuters on the matter, the world's largest cryptocurrency traded near $125,245, exceeding its previous record of $124,480 set in mid-August.

The price increase follows an eight-day streak of gains, supported by rising US equities and continued inflows into bitcoin exchange-traded funds, adds the report.

Market analysts attribute the cryptocurrency's sustained growth to favourable regulatory developments under the Trump administration and ongoing demand from institutional investors.
