Dhaka has been ranked second among the top cities of the world having largest active Facebook users.Bangkok is the number one city ahead of Dhaka and in the country category, the United States leads all having over 21 crore active users of Facebook, says a recent report conducted jointly by social media research organisations -- We Are Social and Hootsuite.

As per their earlier study that published in January this year, Dhaka was ranked in the third position after Bangkok and Mexico respectively.
More than half of the world's population now uses the internet, says the report titled 'Digital in 2017 Global Overview'.
