Ishana's game plan

Former Lux Superstar Ishana's career is skyrocketing. An acclaimed actress and model, she is currently busy with shoots for TV plays. In a recent conversation with The Daily Star, the multi-talented artiste spoke about her many assignment

Tell us about your latest telefilm…

Ishana: I worked with film actor Riaz in the telefilm “Kath Golaper Sunnota”, directed by Minhazul Islam Abhi.

Any recent challenges?

Ishana: I recently shot for a TV play where I enacted the roles of Haimonti, Kumu and Maloti --three famous characters drawn from Rabindranth Tagore's works.  The yet-untitled TV play was really very challenging.

Is there a character you have played for the first time?

Ishana:  I recently enacted the part of a beggar  in the play “Trirotno”. Though I've always been offered glamorous roles, it was quite a change as I had to act without any make up.

Your mega serial “Khanikaloy” is about to wrap up?

Ishana: It has aired on Maasranga for about three years. It has been amazing and a one-of-its-kind experience. When I was on the sets, it seemed that the cast and crew were my second family.

What about your new serial?

Ishana: I recently signed up for a series “Samrat”, directed by Sayed Shakil.  Here I will play the role of psycho, co-starring with Apurbo.

What is your game plan career wise?

Ishana: I have no plan. I certainly want to work till the very end but it will all depend on the continued goodwill of my fans and challenging plots.
