North South University (NSU) has organized a virtual inauguration ceremony of the Pathology Laboratory in NSU Medical Center on March 29, 2021. NSU is the first and only private university in Bangladesh to set a unique example by launching such a pathology lab at North South University.

The launching ceremony of the “Probashi” app was held on March 30, 2021 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the ball room of Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon. The chief guest of the event was the State Minister for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam, MP. In celebration of the 50th Independence Day of Bangladesh, Pathao and Apex collaborated to create job opportunities for transgender and specially-abled individuals under the slogan, ‘Shadhinota Shobari’. A meeting between Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Bangladesh and the Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship (ICE) Center of the University of Dhaka was held at Vice Chancellor’s office on 21st March 2021. IDLC Finance Limited and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) signed a memorandum of understanding on March 10th, 2021 to improve maternal, neonatal health rights and nutrition in the tea gardens of Sylhet. Under this partnership, IDLC will support renovation of the tea gardens’ health facility with water and sanitation and hygiene (WASH) block and provide necessary medical equipment’s and logistics in seven tea gardens. UNICEF will ensure capacity building of the tea garden health service providers with necessary training in order to connect the tea gardens’ health facilities with the government system for better services and sustainability.
