Member of gang linked to trafficking Bangladeshis to Libya denied bail

A virtual court in Dhaka today rejected a bail petition of Al Amin alias Parvez, a member of a gang -- linked to the trafficking of 26 Bangladeshis killed in Libya on May 28 -- in a case filed with Khilgaon Police Station.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Atikul Islam of the Virtual Court-4 of Dhaka passed the order after Parvez's lawyer submitted a petition seeking bail in the case through an email.
Earlier on June 15, Parvez was sent to jail on completion of his three-day remand in the case.
The case was filed against him and 35 others with Khilgaon Police Station on June 9 over trafficking of Bangladeshis to Libya.
