Ilias Kanchan diagnosed with brain tumour, receiving treatment abroad
Veteran actor Ilias Kanchan has been unwell for the past seven months and has been receiving treatment in London for the past six months.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, his son Mirazul Moin Joy said, "My father, Ilias Kanchan, has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. His treatment is ongoing, and he is currently in London. He has been staying there for an extended period due to his medical treatment."

As his condition gradually deteriorated, family members initially took him to doctors in Dhaka. Following medical advice, he was then taken abroad for further treatment.
Mirazul Moin Joy also stated that Ilias Kanchan left Dhaka for London on April 26. The day after his arrival, he was admitted to Harley Street Clinic under the care of a neurosurgeon. A new phase of treatment is set to begin in the coming days and will continue for six weeks, followed by a four-week observation period under the doctors' supervision.
