Missing man’s body found in Buriganga river

A man's body was recovered from the Buriganga river last night, four days after he went missing from Narayanganj Sadar.

Police recovered the body of Yakub Mia (43), a truck driver, around 10:15pm and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy, our local correspondent reports.

Yakub might have been murdered and dumped in the river by miscreants, police said.

Fatullah Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Aslam Hossain said that locals saw the body floating in the river and informed police.

The body bore several injury marks on the head and back, he said.

Yakub was missing since December 29 night, the official said quoting his family members.
