Thousands of families in low-lying areas Daulatpur, Shibaloy, Harirampur upazilas have been marooned due to the rising water of Padma and Jamuna. Jalalpur village in Shahjadpur Upazila of Sirajganj is slowly disappearing due to Jamuna river erosion.
